Jonathan Glickman named CEO of Miramax
Jonathan Glickman will join Miramax as its CEO, the film and television studio officially announced Tuesday. The Executive will assume the effective role immediately.
Hollywood Reporter It was first reported that Glickman was in talks for the new role in January. Glickman replaces former CEO Bill Block, who left last year after six years on the job.
As part of the new job, Miramax has also acquired some film, television and other projects from Panoramic Media, the independent film and television production company Glickman founded in 2020. While at Panoramic, Glickman produced Amazon/MGM’s Doctrine 3 And The underdogsand executive produced Netflix Wednesday. He is also currently producing a limited series for Netflix Zero dayStarring Robert De Niro and Angela Bassett.

Glickman served as head of action at MGM for nine years, during which James Bond became a billion-dollar franchise. He also sponsored rejuvenation rocky franchise, and relaunched as Doctrine Film series starring Michael B. Jordan. He left the studio at the end of 2020 to take a first-look production deal with MGM, and two years later launched Panoramic Media.
Miramax was founded by Harvey and Bob Weinstein in 1979. It was owned by Disney until 2010, when it passed to Qatar-based beIN Sports & Entertainment, which held a 51 percent stake, and Paramount, which owned the other 49 percent.
