If reports are to be believed, the OTT version of Fighter will have deleted scenes as well as the deleted song Bekaar Dil. Wouldn’t that be a real bonus?
Billed as India’s first aerial action film, Fighter also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi and Sanjida Sheikh in lead roles. The plot of the film revolves around a special unit called the Air Dragons, which is commissioned by the Air Headquarters to counter terrorists in Srinagar. The elite unit is led by group captain Rakesh “Rocky” Jai Singh, played by Anil.
Released on January 25, the day before Republic Day, Fighter opened to good reviews and got off to a decent start at the box office. It became the first Rs 100 crore and Rs 200 crore grossing film of the year, collecting Rs 212 crore domestically. Fighter earned 358 million at the worldwide box office.
