Bollywood star Alia Bhatt to star in Spy Universe movie

Speculations about actor Alia Bhatt joining the YRF Spy Universe have finally come to an end as Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widani confirmed the exciting news.

Alia is all set to team up with Sharvari Wagh in an untitled film. Reportedly, they will be playing super agents in the action entertainer.

Sharing new developments within the YRF spy universe on FICCI Frames today, Akshay said, But you know, talking about this world of espionage, we’re really excited and thrilled to be able to actually bring this IP into the studio. ”

Meanwhile, Alia is gearing up for her next film ‘Zigra’.

Helmed by Vasan Bala, ‘Jigra’ is co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself.

The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 27th.

Director Vasan Bala has previously directed films such as ‘Monica O My Darling’, crime thriller film ‘Pedlars’ and ‘Mard Ko Dald Nahi Hota’.

“Zigura” was announced in September of last year. The announcement video showed that the film is a story about a sister’s love for her brother and how she would do anything to protect him.
