In a conversation with DNA India, Imtiaz Ali reflected on a time when Bollywood faced huge skepticism. He recalled hearing many times that Bollywood was in decline. Mr. Ali said that when he entered the industry, there were predictions that theaters would disappear with the advent of VCRs, and he indicated that he had similar feelings about the future of the industry.



Imtiaz also emphasized that despite repeated claims of the end of cinema, the reason cinema has survived is because dreamers like himself continued to watch and create films.



Imtiaz Ali, known for films like ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Tamasha’, will be releasing his latest project ‘Amar Singh Chamkira’ in theaters instead of in theaters. It will be released on the OTT platform Netflix. When asked about this decision, he said, “Although my films are meant to be released on the big screen, I have made ‘Amar Singh Chamkira’ more cinematic for an OTT release.” did.
