Kiran Rao’s ‘Raapata Ladies’ opens Melbourne Summer Fest Indian Film Festival

The three-day event transforms a major festival held each August into a biennial extravaganza.

Set in rural India, “Rapata Ladies” follows two young brides who get lost on a train and the chase of others who find themselves in chaos during their journey. The film stars Ravi Kishan, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, and Nitanshi Goel.
