Emraan Hashmi: “Showtime will reveal a lot about our film industry” | Bollywood News
Directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, Showtime is touted to be an “epic tale of film heritage and ambition,” taking audiences behind the scenes of the multi-million dollar Bollywood industry. You can catch a glimpse of it. Nepotism and power struggles at the top.
Naseeruddin Shah, Mahima Makwana, Rajeev Khandelwal and Shriya Saran will also appear on Showtime.
Speaking to ANI about Showtime, Emraan Hashmi said, “The trailer gives people an idea about the world of modern Bollywood that we have created and this web series reveals a lot about our industry.” I guess so,” he said.
He added, “When you look at the characters on this show, you get the feeling that somewhere along the line this show is modeled after a real actor or producer, or is a collection of actors. So who is it actually based on?” You have to ask the directors, they’ve been in this industry and understand it very well, and they’ve brought that into this show in a way.”
