When pressed to do more films, Suhani said, “I want to finish my education and then be seen as a lead in a film.But if I get an opportunity in between my studies, I will definitely do it.Until then, I will only focus on my studies. Concentrate.”
Aamir Khan Productions condoled her death and said in a statement posted on social media:We are very saddened to hear of the passing of our Suhani. My heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji and the entire family. For such a talented girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always be a star in our hearts. Please rest in peace. ”
Co-star Zaira Wasim told Bombay Times that she could not believe the news and added that she was having flashbacks of all the good times she had with Suhani. She also remembered Suhani’s parents and sent them strength during this difficult time.
Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari said in a statement:Suhani’s passing is truly shocking and heartbreaking. She was such a happy soul and she was so full of her life. She extends her deepest condolences to her family. ”
In the movie Dangal, Zaira Wasim played the role of young Geeta Phogat and Suhani played Babita. The adult versions of these characters were played by Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra respectively. Aamir took on the role of their father, Mahavir Phogat.
