Watch: 4 of the most important performances that appeared during the Super Bowl | Hollywood

This year’s Super Bowl was action-packed for Hollywood buffs. Trailers for some of the year’s most anticipated films have been released online, including the first glimpse at two of them. Deadpool Wolverine

Deadpool 3 is named Deadpool & Wolverine, the film in which Ryan Reynolds promised to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe “forever.”

Directed by Shawn Levy, the long-awaited film will see Reynolds reprising the role of anti-hero Deadpool, whose real name is Wade Wilson, and Hugh Jackman returning as the adamantium-clawed mutant Wolverine.

In the 2.25-minute clip, viewers see the Time Variance Authority (TVA), the administrators of the multiverse last seen in Loki Season 2, kidnap Deadpool as he celebrates his birthday and bring him into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Scapegoat

The makers of the upcoming action thriller The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Gosling, have released a Super Bowl trailer that includes multiple action scenes, aliens and space cowboys. In one scene, actress Barbie was seen crying while listening to Taylor Swift’s song All Too Well. “Have you been crying over Taylor Swift?” Emily Blunt asks Gosling in the trailer. “is not it?” Gosling answers.

Based on director Glen A. Larson’s 1980s television series of the same name, The Fall Guy stars Gosling as Colt Sievers, a stuntman searching for a missing movie star he once doubled for. The film also stars Blunt as Gosling’s ex-girlfriend, Jodi, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the AWOL star. The film, directed by David Leitch, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 3.

The makers of the upcoming musical Wicked Part 1, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Eveo, unveiled the film’s official trailer during Super Bowl 2024. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the big-screen adaptation tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, based on the novel The bestseller by Gregory Maguire, originally based on the novel by L. Frank Baum’s 1900 The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which had previously been adapted into the 1939 MGM classic of the same name.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the epic global series set several generations in the future after the reign of Caesar, where apes are the dominant species living in harmony, and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape embarks on a harrowing journey that will cause him to question everything he knows about the past and make choices that will determine the future of apes and humans alike.

20th Century Studios India releases Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes in theaters on May 10 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
