Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bade miyan chote miyan’ increases movie appeal in Jordan
As Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ is being shot in Jordan, country officials have revealed why the country is a suitable base for the film.
In fact, Jordan, where few Indians speak an Indian language, has become a leading destination for Indian film production. The film, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, is currently being shot in various exotic locations in Jordan.
Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) hosted a professional media delegation from India during the filming of “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” in Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Amman and other locations.
At a recent press conference, JTB Director-General Abdul Razak Arabiyat highlighted how Jordan is emerging as a preferred filming location. He stressed the importance of attracting global filmmakers to promote the country in the marketing and tourism sector.

The Royal Film Commission (RFC) has played a key role in supporting Indian films by facilitating permits, identifying suitable filming locations, and streamlining customs clearance for technical equipment.
Mohanad Al Bakri, Managing Director of RFC, pointed out the close relationship between the tourism sector and the film industry. Filming in Jordan will greatly contribute to showcasing the location and culture and promoting Jordan as a tourist destination.
Raja Gargar, Chairman of Olivewood Film Studios, highlighted the historic filmmaking opportunities in Jordan and Olivewood Studios’ pivotal role in promoting such opportunities. He emphasized that Jordan’s film and visual storytelling industry is transforming into an important economic sector.
The Indian media delegation had the opportunity to meet the team of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and visit tourist and historical sites in Jordan. The film’s actors Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F are also currently in Jordan for the shoot.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ is scheduled to release this Eid and is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackie Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar.
