Next by Bhumi Pednekar, bhakshak, is based on true events that reflect the ground reality of crimes against women. The actor plays a journalist who does not stop trying to draw attention to the terrible crimes of young women. The Hindi film will premiere on Netflix on February 9.

On social media, Netflix India shared the first trailer with the caption, “Insaan ya Bhakshak? Samay aa chuka hai chun ne ka!! #Bhakshak a movie inspired by real events, releasing on 9th February, only on Netflix. #BhakshakOnNetflix”
The crime drama features Pednekar as an investigative reporter named Vaishali Singh, who comes across abuses against several young women in an orphanage and tries to raise awareness about it with the authorities. Along the way, he encounters several obstacles on his way to justice. Directed by Pulkit, the Hindi film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava and Sai Tamhankar.

Director Pulkit has written the screenplay along with Jotsana Nath. Before that, he was the director of the film Maroon and web series Boss: Dead / Alive Starring Rajkumar Rao. Powered by Red Chillies Entertainment, bhakshak Produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma.
