Redemption factors
One of the few redeeming aspects Karma call Performed by Raveena Tandon.
OTT has opened up a new space for senior actors with author-backed roles; This web show is another example of that.
Raveena is good at removing gray shades. He also works well in the scenes where Indirani’s weakness is shown.
Rohit Roy Bose as Karma’s father has an extended cameo. It only appears in a flashback, but still, it affects the limited screen time.
The cinematography and costume design are also suitably glossy.
Director Ruchi Narain does a good job of exploring the politics of high society.
Flaws in web series
the main problem Karma call There is a poorly written script, especially in the revenge parts.
For example, Karma is represented as an orphan who acquires great wealth. But there is no shorthand explanation of how he ends up with so much money.
Furthermore, no information is provided as to how she maintains a spacious home with no work to do, other than plotting.
Even the Karma scenes that disrupt the lives of Indran and those associated with him do not leave an impact. The main reason is the ease with which he executes his plans.
Namrata Shetty tries her best to rise above the lazy writing, but her roughness as an actress shows.
The secondary characters also leave a lot to be desired in both writing and acting.
Viraf Patel plays a rich gay man who is a father figure to Karma. It’s annoyingly high.
Varun Sood and Devangshi Sen as Indran’s rebellious sons make good eye candy. But in terms of performance, they are very strict.
