Florence Pugh and Cillian Murphy experienced technical difficulties while filming a sex scene on set Oppenheimerthe actress shared this week during a global panel.

“In the middle of our sex scene, the camera malfunctioned,” Pugh said. “No one knows this, but it happened. Our camera broke while we were naked, and it wasn’t ideal timing.”

Pugh played Jean Tatlock in the Christopher Nolan film Oppenheimerwho had an affair with Murphy’s titular protagonist before and during his marriage to Catherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer, played by Emily Blunt.

“Cillian and I are in this room together. It’s a closed group, so we hold our bodies this way,” Pugh continued, wrapping her arms around herself.

The actress added that when someone arrived to fix the camera, she thought, “This is my learning moment,” and asked the camera surgeon, “So tell me, what’s wrong with this camera?”

“You just make your moments,” Pugh told the audience as they laughed at the anecdote. “I’m like, ‘What’s going on with the shutter here, buddy?’ “”

The actress went on to praise Nolan’s entire production team, saying that “everyone on this set was so knowledgeable and was so prepared to make this kind of movie that there was never a dull moment. Everything was amazing. We felt like we were lucky to be there every time.” Second of the day.”
