Prithviraj Sukumaran reveals about his exit from Bollywood, teases Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan EXCLUSIVE

The teaser of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was released recently and created quite a buzz on social media. This action entertainer stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles, with Prithviraj Sukhumaran playing the antagonist. Interestingly, the film marks the Malayalam star’s return to Bollywood after seven years, his last Hindi film being Naam Shabana (2017).

Although not much is known about his character yet, Prithviraj opened up about the film in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha. “A lot of people will be surprised by the scale and the plot. It’s a really exciting script. I don’t know how anyone could say no to the character I play in this movie. It’s one of a kind. “I’m really looking forward to its release,” he said, praising Ali Abbas Zafar, saying, “Ali is a great filmmaker. I really hit it off with him and loved how he visualized things. , I am aware of it and I understand it,” he added.

When asked about his departure from Hindi films, Prithviraj candidly said: Of course, I read the script and listened to the narration. But I didn’t think there was anything exciting like taking a break from Malayalam films to come here and shoot a film. ”

However, the Salar actor revealed that he did not want to take such a long gap between Hindi films. In fact, he is particularly keen to direct a comedy film in Bollywood soon. “I’d love to make and direct more comic book movies, but it’s one of the most difficult genres to write in. A 60-second comedy on Instagram is much more rewarding than a full-fledged comedy feature film that’s over two hours long. It’s easy to make. I hope I find more scripts like Bro Daddy (2022). In fact, I’d like to do a comic film in Hindi,” he says, starring in Bollywood with Aiyyaa (2012). Prithviraj, who made his debut, said.

And with pan-Indian films becoming the norm this season, will he also direct a multilingual Hindi film? “The first thing to understand here is that you can’t make a pan-Indian film. This film will be pan-Indian. You don’t start out thinking, ‘Let me make a pan-Indian film.’ . “This is a discussion I had with several companies across the discussion table, and I told them we were wrong,” he explained.

He further said, “If you look at the successes across India, you will see that success is not because of who is a part of it. When someone asks if they can act, they are basically doing so to understand that this film has relevance beyond language because it features actors from a variety of industries. ”

On a related note, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F. Shot in locations such as Mumbai, London, Abu Dhabi, Scotland, and Jordan, it is touted as a Hollywood-style epic action film. Movie-like visuals. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on Eid 2024.
