It showed slight growth on Saturday and Sunday, collecting Rs 2.1 billion and Rs 2.4 billion respectively. However, it failed miserably in the first test on Monday, with revenue dropping to Rs 7 million.

Now, with the upcoming release of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s big-budget action drama ‘Fighter’, Main Ataru Hoon’s collection is expected to decline further. Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Fighter’ will be released in theaters on January 25th.

Directed by Ravi Jadhav, ‘Main Athar Hoon’ also stars Piyush Mishra, Raja Rameshkumar Sevak, Daya Shankar Pandey, Pramod Pathak, Payal Kapoor Nair, Harshad Kumar, Prasanna Ket. Karl, Haresh Khatri, Paula McGlynn and Gauri Sukthankar also star. The film chronicles Vajpayee’s shocking journey in Indian politics. Recent political biopics like Thalaivi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also failed to make a big impact at the box office.

Although Pankaj Tripathi’s performance has been praised by some, the film has not received good reviews.
