The film was released in theaters on October 27, 2023, to critical acclaim and was declared a sleeper hit. Later, the film also premiered on the streaming platform Disney + Hotstar after December 29th. At the 69th Filmfare Awards, the film was nominated in 12 categories, including Best Picture and Best Director.
