Netflix Hit Man Trailer Starring Top Gun Star Glen Powell – The Hollywood Reporter

The first teaser for the Netflix series Assassin It’s here and gives a sense of the charisma of star Glen Powell at a raucous film festival.

The film was directed by Richard Linklater and co-written by Linklater and Powell. The actor’s career was one of approval after his scene-stealing role as a fighter pilot in Top Gun: Maverick.

The film’s synopsis reads: “Inspired by an incredible true story, a hardened professor discovers his hidden talent as a fake hitman. He meets his match in the agent who steals his heart and ignites a powder keg of deception, delight, and mixed identities.

The film also stars Adria Arjona, Austin Amelio, Rita, Sanjay Rao, Molly Bernard and Evan Holtzman.

Netflix will give the film a limited theatrical release on June 7 and it will also debut on the streaming service on the same date.

Assassin The film received attention at the Venice Film Festival last September, and is based on a “fairly true story” – as the opening titles describe it – chronicled in Texas Monthly Article in 2001.

The film currently has a 96 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes from its festival screenings the Hollywood Reporter Writing, “Given the chemistry between the two leads could restart a dormant nuclear power plant, viewers are likely to walk away filled with joy after seeing this exhilarating feat.”
