Reema Khan breaks her silence on not accepting offers for Bollywood films

Pakistani film star Reema Khan recently sat down for a fun one-on-one show on a private news channel and revealed that unlike many of her fellow actors such as Meera Ji, Humayun Saeed, Humaima Malik and Imran, she has not started her career in India. In one segment, when Reema visited India for the Zee Cine Awards in 2005, a fan in the audience asked her if she had received offers from Bollywood like Meera, to which she replied, “Yes, how many? I received an offer.”
she continued. “But I feel that there is already a lot of talent in Bollywood. If they want us to work in those films as well, I realized only after seeing the working conditions that I have seen before. , our local industry is smaller but still better and more respectful than Bollywood.”
When asked to clarify her remarks, Reema said that while many people welcome them warmly and respectfully and want talent from other countries to be utilized in their films, , explained that there are several similarly influential groups in neighboring countries. They create hurdles for outsider artistes, especially those from Pakistan, as they do not want them to establish a career in their industry.
“And if artists have to flee the country in the middle of the night as a result of that, then that’s not something to be cherished,” she concluded.
