Robert Downey Jr. Says His ‘Best Work’ in Marvel Films Goes ‘Unnoticed’ – The Hollywood Reporter
As Robert Downey Jr. looks back on his career, he feels that some of his “best work” didn’t get the attention it deserved due to the superhero genre.
The actor recently appeared on TV literally! With Rob Lowe The podcast where he talked about past experiences that didn’t go as planned but turned into teachable moments that made him better in the end.
“Sometimes those turning points are where we’re cold and wondering, ‘What am I supposed to learn now?'” he said. “And I think these things can form a new version of the same identity that is not so fragile, a little more flexible but also more capable.”
Downey admitted he was feeling at the top of his career in 2019 after spending 11 years as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which he described as some of his “best work” that went unnoticed by the genre.
