12th Fail, Jigarthanda Double X, Vidhuthalai Part One, Romancham, Chithha, Nanpakkal Nerathu Mayyakkam made it to Letterboxd’s Year in Review list.
2023 was a remarkable year For Indian films that brought audiences back to theaters, language barriers seemed to be a thing of the past, with many Indian films receiving critical acclaim across the country, apart from box office success. now, Letterboxd has released its 2023 movie roundup called ‘Year in Review’, which compiles statistics from millions of users, and here too many Indian films are ranked alongside popular international titles such as Oppenheimer and Barbie. They lined up and left their footprints.
Among the most acclaimed drama films, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Failure left its mark. This movie includes “Oppenheimer”, “Monster”, “Murders of the Flower Moon”, “Anatomy of a Fall”, “Perfect Days”, “Iron Crow”, “Rice Boy Sleeps”, It was on the same list as “Zone of Interest” and “Society of the Snow.” 12th Fail was the only Indian film on the list.

In the list of highest rated Asian films, Indian films “12th Place Failure”, “Jigathanda Double It came in 8th, 9th, and 10th place, with “Monster” taking the top spot.
