Cabaret promises to be the emotional journey of a young girl from a remote village to win the crown of Calcutta’s best cabaret dancer.
Actress Pooja Banerjee will be seen playing the role of a cabaret dancer for the first time.
“I always wanted to play a character like Miss Elina. Cabaret is a very beautiful love story. As an actress, you have very few opportunities where the script demands the best.
“Miss Elina has quite a bit of shade, which you’ll soon see when Cabaret comes out,” he said.
“Miss Elina’s journey intersects with various people and situations that not only shape her life, but also determine the courses of those around her.
“It is a story of love, passion, family, emotions, politics, revenge and most importantly different human conditions,” says director Utsav Mukherjee.
Music will be directed by Shibashish Mukherjee.
“Cabaret” will start streaming on Addtimes from January 26.
