As we enter the new year, multiple film industries are gearing up several films for release in January 2024. Fans are looking forward to films like The Fighter, Kalki 2898 AD, Merry Christmas, and Main Atar Hoon, among others. 1) Fighter

Directed by Sidharth Anand, the film stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The film also stars Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Produced by Viacom18 Studios in association with his Marflix Pictures, Fighter promises adrenaline-pumping action. In Fighter, Hrithik plays company leader Shamsher Pathania alias Pati, Deepika plays company leader Minal Rathore alias Mini and Anil plays group captain Rakesh Jai Singh alias who fights for the country. He plays Rocky. The film will be released in theaters on January 25, 2024.

2) Kalki 2898 AD

The upcoming sci-fi action film is directed by Nag Ashwin. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Disha Patani in lead roles. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on January 12, 2024, and is expected to be an epic sci-fi set inspired by mythology in the future. The grand release of Kalki 2898 AD took place at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC), where the film mesmerized the audience with its visionary concept and strong visuals.

3) Merry Christmas

The film, starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupati, is scheduled to release on January 12, 2024. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Merry Christmas’ is a story that transcends genres. Merry Christmas features different supporting characters and is filmed in two languages. The Hindi version co-stars Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan and Tinu Anand. The same role is played by Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu and Rajesh Williams in the Tamil version. Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte will be seen in cameos.

4) Main Atal Hun

The upcoming biopic is based on late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Scheduled to be released in theaters on January 19, 2024. Directed by Ravi Jadhav, “Main Atal Hoon” stars Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role. The film is co-written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav.

5) Guntur Kaalam

Starring Mahesh Babu, the film was directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The film is touted to be an action-drama and also stars Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Prakashraj and Sunil. Previously, the actor and director have worked together in the blockbuster films ‘Asadu’ and ‘Kareja’. After a long wait of 12 years, the duo will reunite for a big-budget project. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 13, 2024. The tentative title of the movie was “SSMB28”.

6) Larsalam

Directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya, the film stars Rajinikanth in a special role. The makers have announced that the film will be released in theaters during the Pongal festival in January 2024. Recently, Laika Productions released a poster of X with Rajinikanth and Vishnu Vishal depicting an ancient tomb in the background. Earlier, Aishwarya had shared a first look poster on Instagram, in which Rajinikanth, who played Modeen Bhai, was seen walking in the middle of what appeared to be mass riots in Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1993. It was depicted as being there. The film also stars Vikranth.

7) Ruslan

Produced by KK Radhammohan and directed by Katyayan Shivpuri, the film stars Aayush Sharma, Sushri Mishra, Vidya Malavad and Jagapathi Babu in lead roles. The film was shot in India and Azerbaijan. Aayush announced the official release date on Instagram on his birthday. He treated fans to an interesting motion poster featuring a wounded face alongside a guitar and a gun. The film will be released in theaters on January 12th.

8) Book of Clarence

The film is an epic Biblical comedy-drama and will be released in theaters on January 12, 2024. Written and directed by James Samuel. The movie is set in Jerusalem in 29 AD. Starring LaKeith Stanfield, Omar Sy, Anna Dio, David Oyelowo, Teyana Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, James McAvoy, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

9) Mean Girls

Mean Girls, directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr., is a musical comedy. It is based on the Broadway musical of the same name, which is also based on his 2004 teen comedy film. In the film, Cady Heron, played by Angourie Rice, is a new girl at the school. She infiltrates Regina George’s (played by Lenny Rapp) group. The film also stars Christopher Blaney, Auli’i Cravalho, Bebe Wood, Jaquel Spivley, Tina Fey, Avantika Vandanaup, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, and Tim Meadows. The film will be released in theaters on January 12, 2024.

10) De Paty

The film will be available to stream on Netflix in January 2024. The film, starring Kajol and Kriti Sanon, is touted as a gripping mystery-thriller set in the hills of North India. The director of this film is Shashanka Chaturvedi. ‘Do Patti’ is the maiden production of Kriti and author Kanika Dhillon’s new banners Blue Butterfly Films and Catha Pictures respectively. The film will be Kajol and Kriti’s second collaboration after Rohit Shetty’s 2015 film Dilwale.
