British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis recently shared a list of Hindi movies he has watched and asked for more movie recommendations. His post on X (formerly Twitter) reads: “Hindi movie fans, after Sholai, Gangs of Wasseypur and Chupke, the best and worst of Chupke, what should you watch next? What is the must-watch Hindi movie? Yes, Lagaan. I’ve seen it. No, I’m not going to quote you… PS recently watched Jaane Jaan and loved it.”
Netizens flocked to the comments section and sent suggestions to the British High Commissioner, and it turns out he saw some of them too.

Hiroshi Suzuki, the Japanese ambassador to India, recently created an internet sensation by sharing a video of himself dancing to the beats of superstar Rajinikanth’s famous Tamil song ‘Kaavaara’. In the video, the diplomat was seen dancing with popular Japanese YouTuber Mayo San. The clip quickly went viral and caught the attention of netizens around the world. In particular, Ambassador Suzuki perfectly matches the beat of this song, and netizens couldn’t be happier.

While we Indians are used to making UPI payments at every step, the German ambassador was quite fascinated after completing the transaction. German Minister Volker Wissing visited India during the G20 summit, shopped at a market in Bangalore, made a UPI payment there and was filled with awe and fascination when he learned that the payment was successful. The German Embassy praised India’s digital progress and said, “One of India’s success stories is its digital infrastructure. With UPI, anyone can conduct transactions in seconds. Millions of Indians People are using it. Federal Digital and Transport Minister @Wissing was able to experience first-hand the simplicity of UPI payments and was fascinated.”

Tanzanian content creator Kiri Paul and her sister Neema love Bollywood songs. Kiri and her sister have been posting lip-syncing videos to popular Bollywood songs on Instagram, which are loved by many. Khiri’s Instagram profile reads ‘Jai Bharat’, which shows the love and gratitude he has for India.
Mr. Kiri was praised and highly valued by the Indian Ambassador to Tanzania and was even mentioned in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

Drew Hicks is a human gem. He’s a witty, smart, lovable American guy whose Bhojpuri conversational skills are so perfect. Although he is an American content creator, most of his content is actually in Bhojpuri or Hindi.
