29th Kolkata International Film Festival 2023 Live Updates: The 29th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) is being held at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata. The opening ceremony was attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha, Sourav Ganguly, Mahesh Bhatt and others.
Shah Rukh Khan, who is a regular at KIFF, will not be attending the ceremony this year. Earlier this year, Sourav Ganguly replaced SRK as the brand ambassador for West Bengal.

The 2023 Kolkata International Film Festival, which will be held till December 12, will feature 219 films from 39 countries across 23 venues in Kolkata. Of these, 72 are feature films and 50 are short films and documentaries. In the International Competition (Innovation in Video) category, 13 films will compete for the Golden Royal Bengal Trophy for Best Film and Best Director, with prize money of Rs 51 million and Rs 21 million respectively.
On December 9th, the esteemed Satyajit Ray Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Lawrence Kardish. Additionally, actors Manoj Bajpayee and Sudhir Mishra will lead masterclass sessions on acting and directing. Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Kennedy’, starring Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhatt, will also be screened during the festival.
