Animal promotions in Telugu state take awkward north-south turn Hindi movie, music reviews and news
animal Starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, this is a new Hindi film written and directed by Telugu film star Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film, which co-stars Rashmika Mandana, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, is scheduled to hit theaters on December 1, 2023. Actor Ranbir Kapoor was involved in an awkward situation during a recent Animal promotion in Hyderabad, Telengana.politician Chamakula Malla Reddy, who was present at the event, “told Kapoor how” Telugu people “will govern Bollywood and Hollywood” in the next five years.
The video shows Telangana state minister Mala Reddy addressing Ranbir Kapoor during the pre-release event of Animal in Hyderabad and saying, “In the next five years, Bollywood and Hollywood will be dominated by our Telugu people.” He is seen saying, “I’m deaf.” pic.twitter.com/JIl0Wmqmug

Ranbir Kapoor was caught on camera giving a very awkward smile while applauding this. Minister Mala Reddy went on to say that Ranbir Kapoor “will be forced to move to Hyderabad as Mumbai is getting old”. In the statement, stars Ranbir Kapoor and Mahesh Babu are seen smiling awkwardly, with Kapoor holding one hand to the side of his forehead.
“Look how smart our heroine (Rashmika Mandanna) is. She did a great job in Pushpa (The Rise),” says Mala Reddy, adding that Hyderabad will be the number one city in India. He added that all Telugu people are intelligent. Understandably, this angered Kapoor’s mostly Hindi-speaking, north Indian Bollywood fan base. Here are some online reactions to the incident:
To all my Hindi speaking friends, he is a politician. He wants votes. Take him like a pinch of salt.

The strength of hyd ppl is its flexibility to switch between Telugu Hindi and English.

Don’t take politician Mala Reddy seriously. At the beginning of the speech, Mahesh can be seen lip-syncing “He is crazy”. He was laughing at his own clown because he knew what was about to happen.
Mahesh later also called Ranbir Kapoor the best actor in the country. Don’t spread hate. https://t.co/84Rg2lucUm pic.twitter.com/kWZiQRcFA3— Abhishek Ojha (@vicharabhio) November 28, 2023
But politicians’ involvement in southern industry is even more serious.

With love, everyone. I don’t think even people in the Telugu industry think the same way as that person. People should only bash those who are intent on disrespecting him and the rest of the industry.

Bangalore is clogged with traffic due to uncontrolled immigration, and Mumbai is stale after years of admitting outsiders. Help us attract more immigrants to your city. I appreciate your kindness at this time. Our politicians have failed miserably. 😂😂😂😂 https://t.co/TcpWHZuCoT

Sorry guys, but the truth is we don’t take his speech seriously. He’s always talking nonsense. His speech can be viewed on his YouTube. We love Ranbir, he is already one of our stars. It’s not Telugu that makes a good movie a box office hit 👍#AnimalPreReleaseEvent #Mahesh Babu #RanbirKapoor https://t.co/6L7bDb9PBR

Brothers!! No one in the south will be jealous of Bollywood!!
Bollywood survived after remakes of southern films and collaborations with southern stars!!
We’re not jealous – we helped keep Bollywood alive! Have you ever watched one Bollywood movie late without a South star or director in it? We’re jealous 😂

If you take a closer look at the technicians working behind these films, you will be surprised to find out how many southern technicians work behind the scenes of Bollywood films.
The South will survive even if Bollywood rejects them! I don’t appreciate that there are people who criticize BW, but South has no influence from BW!!

I think the embarrassing moment was the minister’s speech, which made me laugh out loud 😂
