“His speech will have consequences”

He wrote: “Mr. Kamal Haasan’s tone-rewarding, calm-encouraging speech will have real-life women who aren’t even allowed to express their justified indignation. He urges the audience to applaud what he describes as “mature behavior,” somehow signaling that this is how survivors should talk about sexual harassment in a socially acceptable, socially acceptable way.
‘ICC/POSH unit is the need of the hour’
He also reiterated that for the past five years, he has been demanding the creation of an ICC/POSH unit in the entertainment industry. Chinmay wrote: “I’ve been repeating this for at least 5 1/2 years. None of these big stars are doing anything to set up the ICC/POSH division in any Sangam. A female dubbing artist has been suspended today because she went to the police station to report a case of sexual harassment at a dubbing studio.
Times have changed
He also pointed out that then Radha Ravi had asked Vichitra to report to the police, but today any victim would be encouraged otherwise. “20 years ago, Radha Ravi asked Vichitra, ‘Why do you come to the Sangam?’ Go to the police station.” Today, the Dubbing Union is warning members not to go to the police station, they will fine you if you go, they can harass others not to hire you if you go to the police to report a sexual harassment incident,” he wrote.
Vichitra quits acting for divan
Vichitra revealed on Bigg Boss that the reason she quit acting 20 years ago was harassment by the main host and crew when she was shooting outside.
