Kim Kardashian to Star in Netflix’s The Fifth Wheel – The Hollywood Reporter

Kim Kardashian will be Netflix’s fifth wheel.

As previously announced, the reality TV star turned budding actress will lead the comedy film Fifth wheelwhich arrived at Netflix in a competitive mode.

Paula Pell and Janine Brito are behind the script, with plot details being kept under wraps, but Kardashian will play the eponymous “fifth wheel” alongside an all-female cast. (The rest of the cast has not yet been announced.) Kardashian and Bell will also produce.

Bell, A Saturday Night Live alum, the comedy was written by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Sisters and previously starred in the Netflix feature Country wine. Brito, who is married to Belle, has credits that include the NBC sitcom Mr. Mayor. The duo plays a married couple in the comedy Girls5Evawhich recently moved to Netflix after two seasons as a Peacock series.

Kardashian can currently be seen in the latest American horror story season, sensitiveand has lent her voice to animated features such as paw patrol The film and its sequel The mighty movie.

Fifth wheel It was pursued by several studios, including those that were considering a theatrical release, and became one of the first major packages to arrive at the studio after the months-long SAG strike. During the strike, the streamer captured several final films, including Toronto Film Festival titles AssassinDirected by Richard Linklater and starring The best Actor Glen Powell, and Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut Woman of the hour.
