In the Latest interview with Cinema Express, producer Kona Venkat revealed that Anushka Shetty was not the first choice for Nishabdham. He further revealed that the script of Nishabdham was written for another leading actress.
Nishabdham Movie Director Kona said, “actoress Anushka was not the first choice for the lead role as I had written the script for another female superstar. When I was returning from Mumbai, I spotted superstar actress Anushka on the same flight. The plane had a punctured tyre and the flight was diverted to Chennai. During this time, I pitched the storyline of Nishabdham to her and within a week she gave the final nod. Casting Anushka, who has been choosy about her projects since Bhaagamathie, worked to our advantage.”
Director Hemant Madhurakar, in an interview to Times of India, revealed about Anushka’s preparation for the role. He said that he was in awe of her determination.
Elaborating about her preparation for her role in Nishabdham, he said, “Anushka learned painting and sign language to play this character. We had artists and sign language instructors teaching her the nuances. She used to practice every day.”
He further added that Anushka will be performing a few stunt sequences in the movie Nishabdham. Nishabdham is a thriller movie featuring an ensemble cast including Madhavan, Hollywood actor Michael Madsen, Anjali and Shalini Pandey in important roles.
