David Ayer has once again taken to social media to defend his release Suicide squad “Air Cut”. In doing so, the director also championed James Gunn’s bravery in his new role at DC Studios.
It’s now been over a year since James Gunn (and his forgotten co-president Peter Safran) took over DC Studios. While some fans are still hesitant, many others finally have hope for the DC Universe. This isn’t the first time David Ayer has expressed his support for James Gunn’s new DC Universe. While the director confirmed that DC Studios will not release his film “Ayer Cut.” Suicide squad Anytime soon, his relationship with Gunn certainly gives a glimmer of hope that it might finally see the light of day. James Gunn and Peter Safran told reporters that their vision for the DC Universe includes closed scripts, wiggle room, and a unified story across film, television, animated, and video game projects. The two explained that the DC Universe could bring back elements of previous DC systems, meaning their eight-year plan isn’t a complete reboot.
