Vikrant Massey says Bollywood isn’t like a ‘family’: But it’s democratic

On his personal front, he also announced the birth of his first child with his wife Sheetal Thakur. “I’m relieved. My heart is fulfilled and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Given that he was the only recognizable face in the film, did he feel even more pressured and responsible for the film’s fate?

He added, “I don’t think it’s just me that this movie did as well as it did. It was the ensemble, and they were responsible as well. It’s hard to sit back and say, ‘I’m the only face that sells.’ That’s stupid,” he added. In the movie, this story was bigger than the star or anyone else in this movie. ”

His film career began with Lootera in 2013. Also, 2023 will mark 10 years since he stepped into movies. And when it comes to Bollywood, he has been told two things many times: “It’s like a big family” and “the big, bad world of Bollywood.” Which side could he experience?

“I think this is one of the most democratic, robust and progressive communities, but I wouldn’t call it a family,” the 36-year-old quipped.

He says people have supported him. “I acted in about 25 films in 10 years. There was ‘Haseen Dilruba’, ‘Death in the Gunj’, ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Criminal Justice’. Screenwriter, Producer , I think the people, including the director, really supported me. If they didn’t recognize my talent, I wouldn’t be here. There was no other way. First, I wanted to prove my consistency. I definitely don’t want to be one of those actors who does one or two miracles in a movie.
