Kim Kardashian is set to star in and produce a new film following the success of AHS
Kim Kardashian is set to add the ‘leading lady’ title to her CV, after landing her first starring role.
The 43-year-old actress recently wowed viewers with her acting efforts in American Horror Story: Delicate, opposite Emma Roberts.
She also appeared in Paw Patrol: The Movie and its sequel alongside her children North and Saint West, while she received a Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actress for 2013’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
According to reports, she is attached to star in the upcoming comedy The 5th Wheel, and will also serve as a producer.
Deadline reports that she has been heavily involved in the comedy pitch, with five studios believed to be fighting for the rights.
Although plot details are thin on the ground, the outlet reports that the flick will be written by SNL’s Paula Pell and his wife, Jeanine Brito.
Kim raised eyebrows when she announced she would appear in the latest series of AHS, playing tough publicist Siobhan.
The mother of four juggles her family life with several businesses — including Skims and her Skkn by Kim line — as well as her budding career in law, working tirelessly on criminal justice reform and keeping fans entertained on her family’s reality show, The Kardashians .
We’re honestly nervous just writing that.
She took fans behind the scenes of her efforts to prepare for the part in the final episode of the Hulu series, including late-night acting lessons and costume fittings.
In her confessional, the businesswoman admitted that she turned to Salma Hayek for advice before stepping foot in front of the camera.
“I told her, ‘Oh my God,'” Kim recalls. What did I get myself into? I feel bad.” She says, “Don’t feel bad. Maybe this whole road led you here because you’re supposed to be an actress and this is your real career.
And I say: “You are right, Salma Hayek.” Then I said, “Can we play sisters something? Because you’re my idol.”
Well, you might as well get shot at some point…
She previously told Variety about the experience: “It’s really fun to step out of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m very excited about this experience.”
When asked if she was taking acting lessons, she insisted: “Of course I am.” It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself.
