David Harbor, who plays Jim Hopper in the sci-fi drama Stranger Things, gave fans another hint about the end of the Netflix show. Now that the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes are over, the show is expected to begin filming soon. The actor also talked about the stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow Connections to the world of the show. Hear what Harbor had to say about the series finale.
David Harbor teases Stranger Things ending
Jim Hopper actor David Harbor was part of a fan session at Motor City Comic Con when he was asked about season six. Stranger Things. He said that the show was definitely ending with a 5th season. Harbor said, “The beauty is that there’s a real ending — it’s going to end in a very real way.”
He also added, “Netflix is going to do spin-offs… but the story where we started in the lab and the Upside Down is one complete story and it will end in the last episode of Season 5.” The actor revealed that other stories like the stage play SStranger Things: The First Shadow Might as well continue the story Stranger Things After the show is over.
About the series
Although the fourth season Stranger Things Due in July 2022, the fifth season was delayed by both the Writers Guild and Screen Actors Guild strikes in Hollywood this year. The Stranger Things writers went back to work in October, and the cast strike ended last week. Production on the show is expected to resume as soon as possible, but given the show’s large scale and budget, it will likely only air on Netflix in 2025.
