Tiger 3 box office collection Day 1: Salman Khan movie expected to release at ₹40 CR | Bollywood
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Diwali release ‘Tiger 3’ is set to have a big start at the domestic box office. As reported by Mint, the spy thriller opened the next day. INR4 billion on Sunday. This makes Tiger 3 the third biggest opener for both Salman and Katrina. Tiger 3 opening day box office collection INR400 million, making it Salman’s third-highest opening after director Ali Abbas Zafar’s 2019 period drama Bharat ( INR423 billion) and Sooraj Barjatiya’s 2015 family drama ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ ( INR40.35 billion), which was also released on the occasion of Diwali.
Tiger 3 will be Katrina’s third biggest opening after director Vijay Krishna Acharya’s 2018 historical action-adventure film Thugs ( INR52.25 billion), produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films and Bharat.
Why is Diwali day released?
In an interview with India Today, YRF distribution head Rohan Malhotra explained the production house’s controversial decision to release Tiger 3 on Diwali. Diwali day also happened to be a Sunday. He said, “If we had followed the traditional approach, we would have released the film on Republic Day and ensured a certain number of audiences. But at YRF, we focus on the lifelong business of films and we would have released the film a day earlier. We were able to make it public.” ”
Tiger 3 is the third installment in the Salman and Katrina spy thriller series. This is also the latest addition to his YRF Spy Universe, which includes War, Patthan, and more. ‘Tiger 3′ is directed by Manesh Sharma. The Hindustan Times’ review of the film said, “Though the story and general plot of ‘Tiger 3’ is extremely intricate and convoluted, with new twists waiting every few minutes, the problem remains that It’s a mindless pace.”
