Unlike many of his Bengali contemporaries who rely on grueling auditions to land roles in Bollywood, Yash got lucky. The director pair Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, who was intrigued by Yash’s acting in films like ‘Gangster’ and ‘One’, invited him to Mumbai. After six hours of discussion, he was selected for “Yariyan 2” without an audition.

His rise to limelight began in Bengal, especially with the television sensation ‘Bojhena Se Bojhena’. However, his acting roots go back to Mumbai where he landed roles in series like ‘Mahima Shani Dev Kii’ and ‘Basera’. Initially a hobby that he took up casually, it turned into a passion when Yash moved to Kolkata due to his family obligations.
