Meg Ryan to promote future development with interim contract during actors’ strike – The Hollywood Reporter

Bleecker Street is releasing the film nationally, starring David Duchovny and Ryan as a former couple whose snow falls overnight at a local airport. The synopsis of the movie is as follows. “Willa (Ryan), an indefinitely retarded magical thinker, and Bill (Duchovny), a destructive human, find themselves just as attracted to and frustrated with each other as they were decades ago. Ryan and Duchovny met with SAG’s chief negotiator, Duncan Crabtree Ireland, about the interim agreement, discussed the best course of action, and encouraged promotion of the film. Ryan and Duchovny, who signed the deal, will participate in the film’s TV, radio, print and online press.
SAG and Crabtree Ireland are bullish on how the interim agreement is seen as supporting the union’s continued bargaining strategy. “When we enter into a provisional agreement with producers, it becomes a full collective agreement. It is not an exception to anything. It agrees to all the terms discussed with AMPTP on July 12th. ,” Crabtree-Ireland said. THR. “So when a producer makes that deal, we want their project to be successful and we want to be able to promote it. We want our actors to go out and do things like that. We want them to do everything they would normally do in connection with a project.”
