Please tell us more about your character in the movie…

So he’s a Canadian major named Major Bhargav Masand, who is relentless, patriotic, honest and intelligent. He cares a lot about himself and the team he’s with during the war. He is a very determined character as he experiences many hardships throughout the course of the film. Despite having many problems, he shows courage and overcomes obstacles. It is truly commendable that our military took care of us and protected our borders several notches higher. I feel blessed to be able to play a character like this and hats off to the way I pulled it off.

What was your experience like with your co-stars?

The shoot with Sunny Deol and the rest of the team was truly amazing. We helped each other, did stunts, and sometimes got hurt. Even though there was medical assistance, it was really nice to see us helping each other and packing. The boys and girls I was shooting with were really great and even the main villain Manish Wadhwa was great. Everyone was in character and helping each other out. There was a lot of happiness and brotherhood around.

Do you have any memories to take home?

The first shot where there was a tank and we were on top of it. The tank goes up the hill, so you have to come down. We had rehearsed, but when it came to the actual performance, I was scared. Then the director and the action director convinced me, “Nothing is going to happen, so we should try it.” The scene was very well done and there was no fear on the faces. I thought the tank would fall over, but I learned that the beauty of tanks is that they don’t fall over.

It gave me even more respect for the Army.

Do you have any memories of Gadar that you recalled during the filming of the show?

I watched ‘Gaddar’ when I was a teenager, and while I was shooting the sequences, my memories of the film came flooding back. When I was a teenager, whenever I saw someone doing something for the country, I felt a different surge of emotion and felt like I could do anything in this world.

Are there any projects you are looking forward to in the future?

I’m working on some projects that I can’t talk about but will reveal in due course. A web series titled ‘Screwed Up’ is in the pipeline and will be released on Disney+Hotstar in the next two months.
