Snow White and Nick Wilde are among several new Disney Lorcana character cards in League Play update

The recent Disney Lorcana League play update released by Ravensburger confirmed that the upcoming Chapter 2, “Rise of the Floodborn,” will introduce several new iconic Disney characters to the trading card game.

This four-page document is intended for specialty store owners who host Disney Lorcana League games in their stores. This document provides information about the rules and intricacies of playing the Disney League of Lorcana, including its points for the League. Points are awarded to players for various reasons during league play. Reasons for this include winning and losing games, wearing clothing with Disney characters on it, and playing “themed decks,” among other reasons, the document states. Points may be awarded.

In listing examples of thematic decks that players can build and deploy, Ravensberger said they will be introduced in the game’s second chapter, “Rise of the Floodborn,” which will be available at local retailers and widely on Nov. 17. We have revealed several characters who will be playing. December 1st.

New characters introduced in this bullet point include Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, and the Seven Dwarfs, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from 2016’s Zootopia, and 2021’s Raya and the Seven Dwarfs. Includes Sisu from “Dragon,” Basil, and Hiram. Flaversham and Mrs. Judson in 1986’s The Mouse Detective. Payne from 1997’s “Hercules” is also listed as a card. This character was previously referenced in the Disney His Lorcana’s Panic card, but Payne currently does not have his own card.

Some of these characters (notably Sith, Winnie the Pooh, and Judy Hopp) were previously announced as additions to the Rise of the Floodborn game. For other characters (such as Snow White and the characters from “The Mouse Detective”), this document is the first indication of their impending appearance.

Disney Lorcana is a new Disney-focused trading card game created by Ravensburger. The company describes the game as an experience that allows players to “build things using magical ink and the power of Lorcana.” [their] Titled “A Team of Disney Characters,” the official Disney Lorcana website warns that “some characters will become familiar friends,” while “others will be wonderfully reimagined.”

“The First Chapter” was released in specialty stores and Disneyland Paris on August 18th, debuted at both Disneyland and the Walt Disney World Resort 10 days later, and demand has kept most stores off the shelves. It’s empty. The game was widely released on September 1st and is now available at general retailers and shopDisney, but it is still sold out or in short supply.

Cards belonging to “Chapter 1” will be reprinted early next year to meet demand. Reprints will be identical to the cards originally issued to reduce high resale costs and provide enough product to reach everyone who wants to play.

The game received generally positive reviews from viewers and was ranked in the top 20 on Good Housekeeping’s Best New Toys of 2023 list. Disney Lorcana will be available in 10 countries newly in 2024.
