Australian web series hits festival circuit

“In the midst of COVID-19, everything was shut down, people were losing their minds, and we were waiting endlessly for answers on other projects. So we asked anyone for permission. “I decided that I needed to go out and make something without having to do anything. “We scraped together some money, pooled our resources, called on a lot of goodwill, and in doing so were able to make this happen with *very* little money. We overcame down, dying and run-down van owners, bad weather and the craziness of the time to build something that we’re all proud of, and that’s now punching above its weight on the world stage. The funding amounted to just over $15,000, and along with producer Jamie Lewis and cast members Annabelle Stevenson and Raynad Walker. #VANLIFE (Emotional) born.

#VANLIFE (Emotional) The film has previously won Best International Series at the Puglia Webfest, Best Thriller/Horror Series and Best Supporting Actor at the Toronto Webfest. Also, at the Serial Killer Festival (yes, it’s a real thing) held in the Czech Republic, he was featured as one of the top five of his series on the world’s web.

The next 76-minute show will be held in competition at Marseille Webfest, Steable Fest New York, Baltimore Next Media Webfest, New Zealand Webfest, and Bilbao Seriesland.

“Ultimately, this show is about the breakdown of a very human relationship set in the absurd world of Youtube vanlifers, especially as the show progresses and things take a strange turn. , tells the story with a dark and twisted twist,” say Chris Squadrito and Jasper Marlowe. “As independent filmmakers, we set out to make something here that probably wouldn’t be possible on traditional television, and so far that instinct has proven to be correct.
