Israel claims hostages were handcuffed and shot by Hamas
New Delhi:
The Israel Defense Forces announced today that it will continue to take decisive action against Hamas, which carried out a rocket attack on Saturday that killed 1,200 Israelis. The IDF claimed that Hamas also took several hostages and carried out executions.
“There were also reports of babies being executed. It was hard to believe that even Hamas could carry out such a barbaric act… But now, after witnesses came forward and senior officials explained, “We can now say with relative confidence that this is the work of Hamas,” said IDF spokesman Jonathan Conricus.
He claimed that women and children were being handcuffed and executed by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
“After the Israeli army entered there, they saw something that looked like something out of a zombie movie,” Conricus said.

The statement came as Israel shelled Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, an enclave of 2.3 million people, in response to a surprise attack by the militants on Saturday.
Israel has claimed that Hamas has a network of tunnels and bunkers in the Gaza Strip and plans to target them. Conricus said Israeli airstrikes were targeting points that would destroy the tunnel network.
Israel is also trying to take control of Lebanon, another front. Air raid sirens sounded in northern Israel and locals were told to go to air raid shelters, but authorities later said reports of an “airspace violation” from Lebanon were a false alarm.
Israelis remain on high alert for signs that Hezbollah, the Iran-backed group in northern Lebanon, will step up its attacks after Hamas launched a deadly attack from the southern Gaza Strip over the weekend.
