Los Angeles Indian Film Festival returns for 21st year
The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) is set to take place in the city from October 11th to 15th. In its 21st year, the festival will showcase a total of 24 films, including six narrative features, two documentary features, and 16 short films. The festival has expanded its selection to include a broader range of South Asian productions, with films from 13 different countries and in 14 different languages. The opening film of the festival will be Vishal Bhardwaj’s female-led action film ‘Khufiya,’ which will be followed by a Q&A session, red carpet event, and reception. ‘Khufiya’ and Atul Sabharwal’s historical drama ‘Berlin’ will both have their world theatrical premieres at IFFLA this year, while North American premieres include Varun Grover’s drama ‘All Indian Rank,’ Dominic Sangma’s international co-production ‘Rapture,’ and Anand Ekarshi’s debut feature ‘Aatham (The Play).’ In addition to screenings, the festival will also feature happy hour events, a filmmaking masterclass, and a panel discussion titled “From Likes to Livelihoods” that focuses on social media advertising and content creation.
