Panipat Hindi Movie 2019: The Great Betrayal – Official Trailer

The trailer of Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt-starrer Panipat is out. The film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.

SYNOPSIS

A historical period drama that recounts the events that led up to and unfolded during the Third Battle of Panipat between the Maratha Empire and the Durrani Empire in 1761.

PANIPAT is set in 1761, when the Maratha Empire had reached its zenith and their grip on Hindostan reigned supreme with no-one to challenge them until an invader set his eyes on the throne of Hindostan. That’s when Sadashiv Rao Bhau (Arjun Kapoor), the Commander-in-Chief of the Maratha army led a northern expedition in order to repel the invading forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali (Sanjay Dutt), the King of Afghanistan. This War epic entails the events that led to the Third Battle of Panipat, watch it in cinemas on 6th December.

In the trailer of Panipat Arjun has given us glimpses of his arduous gym sessions before, beefing up to get the body of a warrior and the actor doesn’t disappoint in the Panipat trailer.

Arjun is playing the role of the Maratha warrior, Sadashiv Rao Bhau in Panipat. Kriti Sanon is portraying the role of Parvati Bai, his wife, while Sanjay Dutt will be seen as Ahmad Shah Abdali on the big screen – the main antagonist. The film is based on the Third Battle of Panipat.

The trailer opens with Kriti Sanon’s voice in the background, introducing Maratha warriors with glimpses of Arjun Kapoor on a murderous spree at the battleground. The trailer then goes on to shed light on Sadashiv and Parvati’s love story. Almost halfway through the trailer, we are introduced to Sanjay Dutt’s character. He has his eyes set on defeating Sadashiv Rao Bhau. By the end of the trailer, Sadashiv and Ahmad Shah come face to face, fighting for their pride.
