Gadar 2: Utkarsh Sharma reacts to the huge success of the Sunny Deol starrer.Reveal the inspiration behind the plot

Gadaar 2, a period action drama starring senior Bollywood superstar Sunny Deol in the lead role, has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema in recent years. The film, a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, was directed by senior filmmaker Anil Sharma and finally got an OTT release on Zee5 this weekend.

Young actor Utkarsh Sharma, who reprized his role as Jeete from Gadar in the blockbuster sequel Gadar 2, recently opened up about the film’s huge success in a chat with Times of India. Interestingly, he also revealed the real ‘inspiration’ behind the Sunny Duru-starrer plot in an interview.

Expressing his deep joy over the huge success of Gadar 2, the young actor said he is happy to know that the Sunny Deol starrer is connecting with all generations as well. Interestingly, Utkarsh Sharma also revealed that the inspiration behind the film’s plot comes from the mythical story of Arjun and his son Abhimanyu from the epic Mahabharata.
