The trailer of Mastani, one of Tarsem Jassar’s much-awaited Punjabi films, was released this week. The trailer was released in theaters and later on video streaming sites. It tells the story of the Sikh warriors, the story of their courage under Nadal’s rule. The film will hit the big screens on August 25, 2023.

On August 7, one of Hardy Sandhu’s most loved songs, ‘Soch’, turned 10 years old. The artist was overwhelmed with emotion on this occasion and thus shared a sweet note. He posted a video of himself performing “Soho” on the stage of a reality show, and wrote, “In response to popular demand, 10 years of Soho have passed by in the blink of an eye, and it feels like it was yesterday.” Thank you for giving this work an immeasurable amount of love.” There’s a story, jo main apne har show te dasdaan, I didn’t have money to do other songs after this, je naa work karda ta shayad, main taxi. The documentary series based on the life of music artist AP Dhillon will be available to stream on OTT on August 18th. This week, a preview of the same was released, giving a glimpse of Amritpal, the man behind the music, and his Dhillon. Commenting on the four-part series, Dhillon said, “When I started my journey from Gurdaspur to Canada, I never thought I would one day tell my story in this way. I am truly humbled and thrilled to receive it.” It’s a love and appreciation for the kind of music we make. ”

This week, Punjab’s entertainment industry lost a gem as one of Punjab’s prolific writers, Master Tarlochan Singh, breathed his last. According to reports, he met with an accident and was found dead at the scene. His scooter was hit by a speeding SUV and Master Ji did not survive the accident. According to reports, an FIR has been registered in the case and the SUV in question has been seized.

Recently, a photo of Gippy Grewal and Bollywood musical greats Shankar and Ehsaan went viral on the internet. The photo was initially shared on Ehsaan’s social media stories with the caption, “It was great to meet Gippy Grewal.” Later, the Punjabi filmmaker also shared the same and hinted at a possible collaboration between Gippy and Shankar-Ehsaan Loy. Details have not yet been revealed.
