Everything you need to know about Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming web series on Tihar Jail
Film director Vikramaditya Motwane recently revealed that he will be making a completely new series following ‘Jubilee’. The theme of the show is Tihar Jail.
Speaking at the Himalayan Film Festival in Leh, where several episodes of his show Jubilee were screened, he said, according to India Today, “This book (Black Warrant: Confessions from Tihar Jail) is a book about Sunil Gupta’s Tihar Jail. It’s a 200-page book, so of course I had to slow down. I’ve broken it down into five-year periods. It’s a very exciting project. It’s a new world: prisons, the ’80s, the Ranga Bila incident, etc. It’s also an opportunity to make this prison drama and show what goes on behind the scenes.”
What was the Rangabila incident?
The kidnapping and murder of Geeta and Sanjay Chopra, popularly known as the Ranga Billa incident, occurred in New Delhi in 1978. The case involves Kuljeet Singh (also known as Ranga Kas) and Jasbir Singh (also known as Billa) kidnapping and murdering Geeta. And Sanjay for money.

Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aparshakti Khurrana, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddhant Gupta, Wamika Gabi, Ram Kapoor are some of the actors who will be seen in the series. The television series premiered on April 7, 2023. Alokananda Dasgupta has written the background music and Amit Trivedi has written the production music. Kausar Munir has written the lyrics of this song.
What is Jubilee?
Shrikant Roy, owner of Roy Talkies studio in Bombay, is currently looking for new actors to make his acting debut in his latest film, “Sangharsh,” which will take place just a month before India and Pakistan become independent.
