Tom Hiddleston is back and ready for more mayhem in “Loki” Season 2, which returns to Disney+ Thursday night.
In the new season, Hiddleston will reprise his titular role as the God of Mischief, sharing the screen with returning actor Owen Wilson and new cast member Ke Hui Quan. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the series follows an anti-hero who works with the Office of Time Differences to track down subspecies of superheroes wreaking havoc across the multiverse’s various timelines. .
Wilson will reprise his role as Mobius M. Mobius, but his character arc will change dramatically in season 2, considering he lost some of his memories in the season 1 finale. Other returning actors include Eugene Cordero, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sofia Di Martino, Tara Strong, and Rafael Casal.
When Season 1 ended, Hiddleston was trapped in a reality he didn’t recognize after the multiverse was devastated by the death of He Who Remains, played by Jonathan Majors.
Quan, best known for his Oscar-winning role as Waymond in “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, is one of the most important additions to the cast, along with “Game of Thrones” actor Kate Dickie, who plays the villain. He is a notable addition.
