What to Watch This Weekend: Streaming Picks and Premieres on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Apple TV, and more
This past weekend was a big one for entertainment, packed with exciting new releases that kept me on my toes! Apologies for not sharing this guide sooner, but there’s a lot to dive into—from spine-chilling horror series to gripping gangster dramas. Here’s what’s streaming this weekend.
New Shows and Movies
Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez (Netflix)
Ryan Murphy’s latest installment in the Monster anthology series, Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, has hit Netflix. Following the success of the Jeffrey Dahmer series, this true-crime drama explores the infamous case of the Menendez brothers. While Murphy’s style often garners mixed reviews, many are curious to see how this new season will unfold, despite a lukewarm reception on Rotten Tomatoes.
Agatha All Along (Disney+)
Kicking off our list is Agatha All Along, the much-anticipated new series from Disney and Marvel. Premiering last Wednesday, the series stars Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as Agatha Harkness from WandaVision. With weekly episodes releasing, the show is gaining traction for its engaging plot centered on Agatha’s quest to regain her powers. Early reviews are promising, and I’m excited to see where this magical journey leads.
Penguin (HBO/Max)
Colin Farrell shines in HBO’s Penguin, a limited series that blends gangster elements with intriguing narratives. The first episode was released last Thursday, with new episodes dropping every Sunday. While it’s more of a crime drama than a direct spin-off of Batman, the performances and storytelling are captivating. Check out my full review for more insights!
From Season 3 (MGM+)
For those eagerly anticipating the return of From, the wait is almost over! Season 3 kicks off this Sunday after a thrilling Season 2 finale that left fans on the edge of their seats. I’ll be reviewing each episode weekly, so stay tuned for updates. This show can be uneven at times, but when it’s good, it’s absolutely riveting.
