Veda box office collection day 2: John Abraham-starrer ‘Ek Villain Returns’ earns less than its predecessor, earns Rs 7.9 crore | Bollywood News
Veda box office collection day 2: John Abraham and Sharvari’s Vedas“Veda” saw a robust opening on Independence Day but faced a significant decline in box office collections on its second day, likely due to weekday trends. According to box office tracker Sacnilk, the film grossed Rs 6.3 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 1.6 crore on the second day, bringing its total to Rs 7.9 crore.
The film recorded a low occupancy of 11.87% on Friday, with Mumbai showing 13.50% and Delhi-NCR at 9.75%. Competing with “Stree 2” starring Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, which is nearing the Rs 100 crore mark, and “Kel Kel Main” with Rs 6.95 crore in two days, “Veda” faces tough competition at the box office.
John Abraham’s previous films like “Satyameva Jayate” (2018) opened strongly with Rs 195 crore on day one, while “Ek Villain Returns” (2022) debuted at Rs 70.5 crore. It remains to be seen how “Veda” and “Kel Kel Main” will fare against the dominating performance of “Stree 2” with its wider screen presence.
In addition to John Abraham, “Veda” stars Sharvari, Tamannaah Bhatia, Abhishek Banerjee, and Ashish Vidyarthi.
