All About The Upcoming Hollywood Movie “Freakier Friday”

“Freakier Friday” is in the works.

 

What is the story?

Disney has officially announced a sequel to its 2003 hit film, Strange Friday. The next movie is titled The strangest FridayThe series will continue the story of mother-daughter duo Anna and Tess Coleman.

The characters were originally portrayed by Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in the first film, which was based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel. The second part of the film is directed by Nisha Ganatra.

 

What to expect from the second part?

According to the official script, the sequel “begins years after Tess (Lee Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) have been struggling with an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter and a stepdaughter. As they navigate the many challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning can actually strike twice.”

Other original cast members including Christina Vidal Mitchell (Maddie), Hayley Hudson (Paige), Lucille Soong (B.B.’s mother), Stephen Tobolowsky (Mr. Bates), and Rosalind Chao (B.B.) are also set to reprise their roles in the sequel.
