Netflix Web Series Heeramandi Cast Member Charmaine Segal on ‘Negative’ Feedback Amid Season 2 Renewal News

Created by renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the web series has received mixed reviews from the audience. While many enjoyed the period drama, others criticized the casting Charmaine Segal As the host of the show diamonds. Amid discussions about her acting skills, Segal finally broke her silence and addressed the online trolls.
For those unfamiliar, Sharmin Segal is the niece of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Ever since she bagged the lead role in the web series, she has been criticized on social media. As a result, the actor had to disable the comments section on his Instagram handle. Finally, he talked about the series and his participation in it.
In a recent interview with News18, Sharmin Segal spoke about the online hate she received for her role in Heramandi. The actor emphasized how to work for the audience. He said: “The audience is king at the end of the day. And as a creative person, it is very important to recognize this. They have the right to their own opinion – positive or negative. It’s the one thing that gives me perspective and allows me to be okay.”
The Heramand actor also added how he received positive reviews for his role as Alamzeb. However, only the negative aspects were widely discussed, “I gave Alamzeb’s character full strength. We tend to focus on the negatives, but there are so many positives that have also come that we don’t talk about. Maybe it’s not interesting enough to talk about the positives and we tend to overlook them to some extent.”
Sharmeen Segal added that she too has received a lot of love for doing Heramand but could not focus on it because of the trolls. He said: “There was a point where I wasn’t looking at much [reviews] But then slowly I realized that I was also losing a lot of love that I was receiving. Now I started paying attention to it. Over the past few days, I decided to revisit all of this. Audience feedback is what can help you be the best version of yourself.”
At the end of the interview, Sharmeen Segal mentioned that the overall experience of playing Alamzeb in Heramandi was great. He was able to connect with people through his character and that’s what he loved about playing the role.
