Preity, who was recently at the Cannes Film Festival, spoke about her departure from films to focus on her family and children. In a chat with DD India, she had said, “I didn’t want to do films. I was focused on business and I wanted to focus on my personal life. For women, your craft as an actor is important, you want a body of work, but people forget that you have a biological clock. I have never dated anyone from the industry. I have never dated an actor. So, logically, I needed to have a family of my own. I wanted kids. I don’t want to be a lonely person despite being an accomplished actor.”
