Top five new seasons that many have been waiting to see this June

Web series are a binge watcher’s paradise. The whole practice of ‘Netflix and Chill’ is such an important part of our lives that most of us have become insomniacs probably for the same reason; A fun argument between “sleep and one more episode” – a constant for us.

Now that more announcements have come in the past week for some of the highly anticipated new seasons of our favorite web series, here we dive in and build our must-watch list with these five shows.

It is interesting to observe how these things offer us a different perspective on life – broadening our horizons. While Kota Factory tells us why “taking the first step towards a goal is half the battle won”, a show like Criminal Justice, through Madhav Mishra’s character, shows us that it is important to persevere in the fight for justice. A family man, a spy thriller only reinforces our respect for silent soldiers like Srikanth who risk their lives to protect the nation and Mishra’s family story in Gulak shows the ever-changing dynamics and language of parenting as children grow into adulthood.

1. Kota Factory Season 3: The much loved serial is coming on 20th June if we did the match correctly which our favorite character of the show – Jeetu bhaiya gave us in the morning. The plot of the show revolves around the struggle of Vaibhav Pandey who dreams of getting into IIT by cracking JEE.

How the show details thousands of ITT aspirants, their inner struggles, the business of coaching centers, the harsh realities of the education business, the toxic competitive system that takes its toll on the mental health of the youth – and how a mentor like Jethu Bhaiya keeps every student motivated – is mind blowing!

Viewers who have watched both seasons will not be able to keep calm by June 20!

2. Gulak Season 4: While most web series in the OTT space explore gritty stories filled with action, thrillers and the dark side of reality, Gulak is one of the most loved stories of the Mishra family. This comedy-drama series chronicles the middle-class lives of Santosh and Shanti Mishra, played by Jameel Khan and Geetanjali Kulkarni, along with their teenage sons Aman and Anand.

As the series has evolved each season and is now out, the trailer showed how each character has evolved in the upcoming season. Now viewers can look forward to a fight between parenting and parenting as Aman goes all rebellious as a regular boy entering adolescence and growing a beard! How Santosh and Shanti handle the situation of maintaining peace in the family is worth watching!

3. Season 4 of Criminal Law: After three successful seasons, Disney + Hotstar has announced the fourth season of its most popular web series Criminal Justice with the return of Pankaj Tripathi as Madhav Mishra. The show will be produced by Applause Entertainment.

The show is an Indian adaptation of the British show of the same name. It was first released on the OTT platform in 2018. Since then, the character of Madhav Mishra, a lawyer with a flawed personality in his personal life, has become an audience favourite.

As the announcement came out, sharing more details about his character in the show, Pankaj said, “In the Screen Lawyers Hall of Fame, I feel Madhav Mishra has earned his place in Criminal Justice. I couldn’t believe how great Madhav is. I felt like the character in the show and every failure felt like a personal loss. , as we do ‘Criminal Justice’ Season 4, we delve deeper into Madhav Mishra’s life and his ability to handle difficult cases with such ease and consistency.”

Although the release date is yet to be announced, it will be interesting to know how Mishra ji fights for justice and handles an extraordinarily difficult situation in this courtroom drama!

4. The third season of Family Man:Veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee’s career and popularity took a complete turn after the release and historic success of the Raj & DK directed web series The Family Man. Post its release on Prime Video, netizens and meme makers went crazy over Srikanth Tiwari’s character played by Bajpayee. A perfectly imperfect husband and father, Srikanth is one of those inspiring characters who quietly contribute to the protection of civilians.

However, what made the show special is the storyline that engaged all age groups! While a middle-aged man with a well-paid, irritating corporate job may have many lol moments from the show, the friendship and bickering between the siblings – Dhritti and Atharvi – is equally relatable.

As Bajpayee shared a picture with Raj and DK on his Instagram and announced that the shooting of the new season has started, the audience is hoping for its release.

The show also stars Sharib Hashmi, Priyaman in the lead characters.

5. Mirzapur Season 3: The anticipation for the third season of Mirzapur is on the rise as the show’s fan following across the globe only grows with each passing season. It is one of the first Indian shows on an OTT platform like Prime Video to explore the underworld of crime in the heart of our country. A detailed projection of organized crime, firearms business, family politics and everything delicious, which for any crime thriller fan – kept the audience glued to the show.

Produced by Excel Entertainment, the show features some of the best actors in the industry including Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Vijay Varma, Rasika Duggal and more.

While the release date is yet to be announced by the makers, recently Ali Fazal dropped a hint on social media during a fan interaction that Panchayat Season 3 has information on its release date!
